Plan of Action
1. In all our actions our ultimate goal is to enable people to exercise their rights and manage their own lives and future by helping them creating and accessing opportunities in life.
2. Our programs are focused in three main areas:
A. Promote Human Rights and Political Freedom: we are seeking to sustain and support the grassroots movements that enabled the Tunisian Revolution and work primarily to establish local networks with other accountable organizations close to communities and seeking to strengthen people’s empowerment and voices. Initiatives will include :
A.1. Support creating community councils and Neighborhood councils
A.2. Support political education, accountability and transparency
A.3. Promote local think tanks and leaders
B. Empower Local Economic Development: we are seeking to address the structural causes of poverty by promoting local economic opportunities and assist in the development of structures which directly benefit people facing the realities of poverty and economic injustice. Initiatives will include:
B.1. Promote equal access to opportunities and continue the fight against corruption
B.2. Build structure for promoting microeconomics to support individual opportunities
B.3. Promote mentor-ship, advisory and business education for individual opportunities
B.4. Continue to promote Tunisian Brand in the world to create sustainable growth
C. Create and support better lives for children and families: we seek to contribute in building a better life for families and children with a goal a balanced family environment fostering stronger communities, promoting democracy and tolerance in the Arab world. Initiatives will include:
C.1. A Commitment to having a playground and a library in every single Tunisian elementary school
C.2. A commitment to building community centers for promoting youth activities
C.3. A commitment to bringing affordable technology to Tunisia
C.4. A commitment to restoring Tunisia’s green face through public parks and open green spaces
C.5. A commitment to promoting arts and creativity in an open tolerant environment
“Free Tunisia” stands for a clear and consistent message and approach. We will achieve this through closer co-operation in our communications, advocacy, education and public campaigns; fund-raising and development programs.
